Tura palm oil or Oenocarpus bacaba also known as the bacaba palm or the bacaba butter tree, is a species of palm tree that is native to the Amazon rainforest in South America. The oil that is extracted from the seeds of the Oenocarpus bacaba tree is used for a variety of purposes including as a food oil and as an ingredient in cosmetics and personal care products. ​
